Traveling during the winter can really wreak havoc on my skin. We will be traveling north where the temperatures are still extremely cold. Between the dry, cooler air, long travel, and diet imbalance, it’s important to pack products that will moisturize and repair your skin in order to keep you looking your best. Here are my 5 favorite winter travel beauty essentials I like to pack in my makeup bag.
5 Winter Travel Beauty Essentials
This product will hydrate your skin and protect it from the sun’s rays. Just because it’s cold outside, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t protect your skin from the harmful UV rays. Add this product to your skin before your daily beauty routine to lock in moisture and prevent dry patches.
Switch out your usual foundation with a BB cream. This product will reduce the amount of products you need to pack in your travel bag. BB creams are water-gel formulated with no oil or heavy ingredients to clog your pores. The Maybelline Dream BB cream leaves skin feeling healthy with a subtle glow while providing a tint like your usual foundation.
You might remember me talking about Herpecin L before in my post about winter beauty swaps. This lip balm is a must-have for winter travel. Herpecin L provides relief and prevention not only for cold sores, but for dry, chapped lips. After applying my makeup I will apply Herpecin to my lips to soothe, moisturize and protect from the sun. This product is a great overall barrier to any climate and a good base before your other tinted lip glosses or lipstick. Herpecin L is available at Walmart.
At the end of the day, it feels so good to wash off all your makeup and rejuvenate the skin with Aveeno’s Nighttime Moisture Infusion cream. This product contains vitamins A, C, and E to hydrate your skin and fight off daily environmental stressors…like cold winter air. I love using this cream as part of my daily five minute skincare routine. Once I apply this to my face I’ll use a tool that really aids in my skin absorbing the cream’s nutrients.
Since I started using the SonicERASER Pro I’ve noticed a difference in my skin. Prior I felt like my nighttime skincare products were just sitting on the surface of my face and most likely getting rubbed off on my pillow at bedtime. The SonicERASER Pro massages skin to revive and restore radiance with its Triple Infusion Technology. The wand gently warms your skin to open the pores and help skincare products penetrate effectively. Basically a mini facial every night that only takes 5 minutes!
Winter travel doesn’t have to leave your skin dull and dry if you pack the right beauty essentials. Always choose products that hydrate and having SPF properties is a huge plus! Be sure to drink plenty of water as well to help keep you feeling your best, inside and out!
