Your nighttime skincare routine doesn’t have to take long. This is my 4 step, easy routine that I can do in bed while binge watching my current shows.

As a tired AF mom pushing 36, it was time to actually implement and stick to a night time skin care routine. My routine had to be quick and easy otherwise I knew it would be hard to keep. That’s when I got the brilliant idea to move my routine to the night stand. If it’s closer to the place I really want to be once my kids are in bed then it would be easier to maintain, right? I’m happy to report that this method HAS helped and the products I use are affordable while making my oily skin feel clean, fresh and a little bit younger.
The 5 Minute Night Time Skincare Routine

Step 1: Clean the skin.

The first step is to wipe off all the makeup. I’m not super picky with makeup removing wipes, but the Pond’s Evening Soothe wipes happen to be the ones I currently have stocked. They smell fantastic and really get the job done without drying out my skin. They also work well to remove waterproof mascara, so I considered them winners. (Pond’s Evening Soothe wipes, $8)

Step 2: Exfoliate and Purify.

Pixi Glow Tonic is one of my holy grails. (Full disclosure: Pixi sent me a PR package a couple months back and ever since I’ve been hooked.) I was never really into toners before trying this one. Glow Tonic has completely changed my life. I add several drops to a cotton round to gently exfoliate and clean pores. This tonic will also help remove anything your cleanser or makeup wipes have left behind while refining pores and creating a soothing, radiant looking skin. I have noticed a visible difference in my skin since adding this to my routine. (Pixi Glow Tonic, $15)
Step 3: Hydrate and Neutralize Skin.

After using the Pixi Glow Tonic, I had to try out the Rose Tonic. Again, this gets applied to a cotton pad and rubbed over the face and neck. This toner is a paraben-free, rose hydrosol based toner that hydrates and neutralizes redness in your skin. Perfect for oily, dry and combination skin. (Pixi Rose Tonic, $15)

Step 4: Moisturize.

The final step in any routine would be to moisturize your clean skin. Fresh’s Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream is on current rotation and delivers a very lightweight weight cream that can be used on any skin type. Because I’m 35 it was important to me to add in an anti-aging cream that will help add back firmness and elasticity while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I love this night cream because of how light it is along with the fresh scent. My skin ends up looking more alive and refreshed overnight. (Lotus Face Cream, $48)
