Taking a trip to LEGOLAND with your toddlers? We’ve got the scoop on fun rides for them!
My kids LOVE exploring theme parks and playgrounds. We recently took a trip to LEGOLAND Florida to celebrate a big 5 year old birthday! I’m slowly, but surely aiming towards experience gifts versus material objects. The memories are far more valuable than a toy that will be played with for a few days. My son had been asking to go to Disney World almost daily for quite a while (HINT: We’ll be back again in September for Toy Story Land and Mickey’s Halloween Party!), so he was over the moon excited to experience LEGOLAND for the first time.
LEGOLAND for Toddlers
Special thanks to LEGOLAND Florida for providing us with day passes to visit the parks!
What I loved most about this park is that it’s really geared towards the younger crowd. I’d say probably 2-10 are the ideal ages for LEGOLAND. Outside almost every ride was a play area for younger children. Great for smaller siblings who don’t meet the height requirement for a ride. But there really are rides for all ages, even adults!
Walking through the LEGO village was amazing!! There are so many detailed cities and landmarks to explore! Plus they’re interactive for the kids. With the push of a button, they can race through the Daytona Speedway, experience Las Vegas casinos, and so much more.
Since we went in the dead of summer, hitting up the LEGOLAND Water Park was essential! I can’t even begin to tell you how hot it was LOL! We spent a few hours in the main theme park before heading off to lunch indoors to cool down at the Panini Grill. The kids had grilled cheese, fruit and chips. I had a grilled chicken panini that was delicious!
After lunch, the kids couldn’t take waiting any longer and we headed off to the water park. In case you’re wondering, the water park is inside of the main theme park towards the back. So if you weren’t planning on going, no worries – your kids most likely won’t see it. Right as we entered the Water Park you see DUPLO® Splash Safari straight ahead. My toddlers made a bee-line for this kiddie pool with mini slides and didn’t leave for 3 hours when the rain started falling! There were so many other rides and attractions inside the park, but they had zero intentions of leaving that pool! I would recommend two-days for LEGOLAND just so you can experience more that the parks have to offer!
