The Amazon Sample Box was a secret gem I discovered thanks to a post on Facebook. (See, some good does come out of your FB newsfeed.) Amazon samples come in variety of categories like Beauty, Baby, Personal Care, Sports Nutrition, Beverages/Food, etc. You can also choose one of their Sample Boxes for a variety of products to test before actually making a larger purchase. Amazon Samples range from prices $2 and up, depending on the product and are available in single trial size versions or a variety Sample Box.
Personal Opinion: I don’t think every sample is worth the price.
For example, I won’t pay $2 to try a protein bar when I can just pick it up in a grocery store since they’re usually sold as singles. But when it comes to beauty products and your skincare creams, typically you can spend $30+ on one tiny jar just to discover the product doesn’t perform the way you’d hoped. That’s where the Amazon samples come in to play! Try the new products in trial size and earn credits (of equal value) towards a product in that category later. Credits expire after 180 days. Just recently, I purchased the Women’s Daily Beauty Sample Box. Below is a list of the products I received.
Amazon’s Sample Box: Women’s Daily Beauty Box
Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream
This cream claims to instantly diminish the look of wrinkles while hydrating the skin to improve elasticity and firm skin for a lifted look. It is suggested for use twice a day. With two trial size versions in the box you should get a good idea of just how effective this product is before purchasing the full size version.
Aveeno Protect + Hydrate and Daily Moisturizing Lotions
Aveeno products have been around for a while and I currently use them in my five-minute night time routine. The Protect + Hydrate lotion contains a broad spectrum SPF 30 which is perfect for the upcoming warmer months. Two-in-one products are my favorite.
Oral-B Glide and Crest 3D White Whitestrips
Admittedly I’m a terrible flosser and will usually cram for the test right before a dental exam. Having this trial version may be just what I need to start up a good habit. There is also one set of 1 hr Express whitestrips. I’ve used other brands before, but can’t wait to see the results of the Crest 3D’s without splurging on an entire box. They aren’t cheap!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost hydrating lip shine
Again, I’m a big fan of Neutrogena products and always love a good lippie. I received the shade Radiant Rose and while I love the color, I find the wand ineffective. It was a struggle getting it in and out of the tube while leaving only a little bit of product on the wand. Can’t say I’ll purchase this one in the full size.
Christina Aguilera GlamX
I find it really difficult to pick out a good perfume in a store that is filled with tons of scents being sprayed constantly. Without any other competition in the air I found this scent really light and feminine. I would definitely purchase a full size bottle of this!
The box contained a sample of the Garnier Antioxidant Super Moisturizer with Goji Berry and Hyaluronic Acid. This moisturizer is supposed to last all day without containing any oil, parabens or petrolatum. I haven’t tried it yet, but it does come with a $2 coupon if you want to purchase later.
L’Oreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal
The Revlon Age Perfect Cell Renewal aspires to mature dull skin with this rose tone cream. The sample looks to be enough for a couple uses while the product says it’ll take four weeks before you achieve revived, skin tone that is more rosy and beautiful.
Hair Samples: Maui Moisture and L’Oreal Ever Pure Shampoo/Conditioner
Maui Moisture shampoo and conditioner heals and hydrates with shea butter and works on dry, damaged hair. The product cotains 100% aloe juice as the first ingredient.
L’Oreal Ever Pure shampoo and conditioner is sulfate free and moisturizes as part of the color care system while being 100% vegan. Color treated hair always requires products with a little extra moisture to revive the locks. EverPure Moisture shampoo and conditioner is vegan, dye-free, paraben-free, and gluten-free.
These last two products did not come in the Daily Beauty Box, but were ordered as samples separately.
L’Oreal Infallable Paints – $2 sample
I received the color Spicy Blush and it is perfect! This blush color is so pretty for spring, goes on smooth with a wand applicator and left my lips feeling soft.
Vichy Liftactiv Supreme – $4
Vichy has a really good reputation as being a good anti-aging line of products. Let’s face it, our kids put extra wrinkles on our skin and Vichy just might help diminish them. The Liftactiv Supreme is a progressive anti-wrinkle and firmness correcting care product that is also hypoallergenic and paraben-free. Really excited to try this one out.
Overall, the cost of $7.99 for this Amazon Sample Box is well worth it. I received a total of 12 products to try out. The $7.99 you spent (or however, much your sample box costs) is applied in credits back to your account for you to apply to future purchases in certain categories.
