Blogging Helps Me Mom Better

This little blog of mine has been up and running for a little over a year now. I’ve learned so much during this time and made some truly valuable friendships that have given me the inspiration to keep going. I previously shared a review of last year on the blog and some goals I have for the future here, as well as, my first income report. But often times friends & family will ask me this one question – Do you like blogging? To this I reply YES! I started thinking a little deeper about why I like blogging and to sum it up, it’s because I feel as though blogging helps me mom better.

Here’s why I think blogging has helped me improve in the mom department…

How & Why I started a Mom Blog and Why Blogging Makes me a Better Mom

I’ve become more creative.

There’s nothing worse than reading a boring blog post and surely that reader won’t be coming back again. But on the same page, there’s nothing worse than my kids being bored. They become whiny and hostile. Blogging and securing partnerships with other brands inspires me to think outside the box and come up with different crafts and activities for the kids to do and in return I get to share creative content with you.

We go on more family outings.

I’m a home body. There I said it. I like being home and not enduring stressful situations of being in over-crowded locations. But opportunities will present themselves locally for us to take the kids places like Disney, local farms, and kid’s museums. Once I’m out and see my kids having a great time it makes it all worth it. I just needed that little push to get me there. 😉

It alleviates some financial pressure.

A little over a year ago, my family up-rooted from New Jersey and made the move to Florida. It has taken us a good amount of time to find the right jobs and get settled in long-term. To say we’ve been under financial pressure would be an understatement. There have been many tears shed and a great amount of anxiety endured. While not all of my content is sponsored (by a brand), some contain affiliate links that provide small amounts of commission, all of which helps provide additional financial support for my family. So to those that read my content, purchase recommended products, and continue to support this space of mine through social shares and word of mouth – my family thanks you!

I’m very big on cost savings and great deals so be sure to always check my Coupons & Savings page under the Shop tab and the Deal of the Day on the right sidebar!

I agree with all of these points! Blogging has used that space in my brain and motherhood wasn’t. I can’t imagine my life without it now!

I love this! My little one is only 4 months old, so I’m just now getting back to blogging but it’s definitely a creative outlet for me! I can’t wait until she’s old enough to do fun crafts and enjoy outings!

I love this perspective. Sometimes I feel guilty for being a mom blogger – asking my kids to take pictures or sneaking away for a minute to check my email, BUT there is a plus side to it! Thanks for reminding me 🙂

I agree with all of this and I blog for all the same reasons, excluding the move. Without blogging I would have never met you and now I feel like you are my soul sister for life!
