Step 1: Paint Your Markers
Start by giving your Dollar Tree garden markers a fresh coat of color! Choose bright, bold Krylon spray paints to make them pop in your garden. Lay them on a protected surface and spray in light, even coats. Let them dry completely between coats (about 10-15 minutes per layer).
Step 2: Create & Cut the Labels
While the paint dries, hop on your Cricut Design Space and upload my free cut file (download it [here]!). Adjust the text size to fit your markers. Load your permanent vinyl into your Cricut machine and let it do the work!
Step 3: Weed & Transfer the Vinyl Labels
Use a weeding tool to remove the excess vinyl, leaving just your plant names. Apply transfer tape over the labels, press firmly, and carefully peel off the backing. Then, place each label onto a dry, painted marker and smooth it down. Slowly peel off the transfer tape to reveal your beautifully labeled markers!
Step 4: Seal for Extra Durability
If your garden gets a lot of rain or sun, I recommend adding a clear sealer to keep the paint and vinyl looking fresh all season. A quick spray of matte or glossy sealer will do the trick! Let everything dry completely before placing them in your garden beds.

That’s It! Time to Plant & Enjoy!
Now, you have colorful, custom garden markers that are both practical and adorable! Whether you’re growing tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, or zinnias, these markers will help keep everything organized.
