This weekend we went shopping with Tootsie to help her find a formal dress for her upcoming cruise. Daddy stays with the babes all week, so I try to give him a break on the weekend for some him time. We packed up the diaper bag and the kids and set out for a 5 hour mall run! Yikes! I’ve made a list of a few of my diaper bag must-haves for toddlers that kept my kids happy and surprisingly well-behaved for the entire time out!

I always pack drinks for my kids no matter how long I expect to be out and about. It’s inevitable one of them will get thirsty. Gabriel likes the Nuby Designer Series Clik-it Grip N Sip cups and so does mommy! We’ve been using these since transitioning from the bottle during the day because of their soft flex spout. The spout is strong enough to endure his growing teeth, but soft enough to sooth his gums when a new tooth is emerging. I also like that the clear spout makes it easy to see that it’s clean.

Gabriel is now into throwing absolutely everything when he’s done. But with Nuby’s Keepeez Adjustable Cup Strap I don’t have to play golden retriever with his cup. Simply attach the other end of the strap to the stroller, shopping cart, or high chair and that baby will never hit the ground. There’s a small part of me that gloats every time he throws the cup and doesn’t hear the thud on the ground 😉

Snacks are also a must-have whenever we leave the house. Isabella has always loved the fruit and veggie pouches, but I had refrained from giving them to Gabriel after the first incident that left me bloody and wounded. A while back I attempted to do something Pinteresty and cut an opening in the top of a plastic lid to push the pouch spout through. It was a huge fail that caused me to slice my finger open with the knife I had been using. Needless to say Gabriel didn’t have a pouch for several months after that. Until I found ChooMee SipN Soft Tops. These toppers attach onto any of the pre-made food pouches preventing spills and baby hands from squeezing the puree out. We also have the ChooMee reusable pouches that I can pour jarred apple sauce or other smoothie-type snacks into for quick, on-the go snacks.

Last, but not least, a very important item that is ALWAYS in my diaper bag, the Covered Goods Four in One cover. I previously wrote about what lead me to getting one of these covers here. We use this cover on shopping carts and restaurant high chairs to protect from germs. Covered Goods is a nursing cover, scarf, car seat cover, and shopping cart cover all in one. They’re super easy to put on even with a baby in your arms. They come in a variety of solids, stripes and prints and made from a soft, high-quality, breathable fabric that stretches.

As a bonus, we’ve teamed up with Covered Goods, Nuby, and ChooMee to give away a Shopping Must-Have Bundle to one lucky reader. Leave a comment below and then head over to Instagram to complete your entry!
