Looking for family fun with preschoolers at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios? Toy Story Land recently opened at Hollywood Studios, making this the perfect destination for preschoolers. Here you’ll find the best rides and attractions, where to eat and shows your preschoolers will love!
Our family was recently invited to Disney World to participate in a media event for #DisneyKids.
We recently got back from a really fun media event for preschoolers at Disney World Orlando. Holy Smokes was it a whirlwind of a good time! We rode rides, saw our favorite characters and even participated in a fun #DisneyKids filming project! (I’ll share more with you later!!) Whenever we go to Disney we typically plan for trips to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom since they have more rides and attractions for our toddlers and preschoolers. However… Toy Story Land recently opened up in Hollywood Studios making this a must-see park for families with younger children! There were so many kid friendly rides and shows for your preschoolers to enjoy!
Hollywood Studios for Preschoolers
Character Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine
We started out the day with a character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine! This buffet-style breakfast served up a wide variety of breakfast pastries, pancakes and Mickey Mouse waffles! While we dined, some of our favorite characters including Doc McStuffins, Goofy, Sofia the First and Captain Jake came around to sign our autograph books and take photos. It was a truly magical experience and something I absolutely recommend for families with toddlers and preschool aged children.
Toy Story Land!
Toy Story Land officially opened in June 2018 making Hollywood Studios a must see for preschoolers. As you enter into this land you’re immersed into Andy’s backyard, full of colorful toys and the marching Green Army Patrol. Guests are greeted with their favorite friends like Woody & Jessie.
The best rides for your preschoolers are Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania! Alien Swirling Saucers are almost the equivalent to Magic Kingdom’s Mad Tea Party ride. Both my three and five year old loved this ride. Hop over to Toy Story Mania! and blast your way through this 4D shooting game featuring the popular characters. Parents just might get a little competitive during this one.
Note: We visited Toy Story Land on a Friday mid-September and the lines were really manageable and not too long!
For lunch we went over to Woody’s Lunch Box and enjoyed the Smoked Turkey Sandwich, Three Cheese Grilled Sandwich and Mini Babybel snack. Also may be important to note that this dining area serves alcoholic beverages 😉
For older children and parents, be sure to check out Slinky Dog Dash! This mini rollercoaster will take you over several belly tickle humps, but overall it’s not too fast. If your child can ride Goofy’s Barnstormer in Magic Kingdom, they should be fine with Slinky Dog Dash. If not, take advantage of Ride Switch and enjoy it yourself! I loved it!
Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
Escape the heat with this hilarious, sing-along show with all your children’s favorite songs from Frozen. The downside to Hollywood Studios is that there isn’t much shade, so finding gems like this show and Toy Story Mania! will help all the heat-induced tantrums [you and] your kids may have.
