Gabriel Turns the Wild One: Part 2

Boy am I glad that’s over… Kidding! (kind of…) Planning a 1st birthday party can be stressful. You want to make their first birthday as memorable as possible, so you worry and stress over every little possible detail. The location, theme, decorations, food, entertainment…

Gabriel’s party theme was a Fox First Birthday…He turned the Wild ONE! And thanks to Oriental Trading the decor was one less thing to stress about. They really have everything from table wear to balloons to cake toppers and fox masks and tattoos for the kids! It was a one stop shop and I loved it! All the supplies I needed at an affordable price with quick delivery. Doesn’t get much better than that!

We decided to keep the food super simple and grill up some of Gabriel’s favorites; hot dogs and cheeseburgers. Yum! Homemade sides included potato salad, macaroni salad, pepperoni & cheese tray, veggie tray, chips, fresh fruit and of course homemade cupcakes and smash cake (chocolate cake recipe) for my little buddy! Thanks to his Aunt Darlene for icing the desserts!

It felt like one of the hottest days we’ve had so far this summer, so thankfully there was a pool! The kids (and dads) enjoyed swimming like little fishies until they were forced to come out!

Someone was well past their 2nd nap of the day when the time came for singing happy birthday. So both birthday cakes he’s had, he is crying! I’ll give him the first one…it wasn’t that good. But mommy made this one! But hey, it’s his party and he’ll cry if he wants to I suppose!

We thank everyone that came out for our precious little boy’s birthday, near and far! Aunts and Uncles from NJ and NC!! Thank you for sharing this special day <3
