Harvest Snack Mix for Kids
Living in such hot weather most of the year, we rely heavily on seasonal traditions to get us into the spirit. A harvest snack mix is such an easy way to get started and then you’ll have something to take along to the pumpkin patch, on a hayride with the kids or watching your favorite Halloween movies on Netflix.
With so many different variations of snack mixes out there I decided to focus on some of the things my kids love while also choosing cleaner ingredients and less sugar (besides the candy corn, of course).

On a recent trip to Sprouts I grabbed a bulk container of candy corn for this mix and other crafts to go along with some more sweet and salty ingredients.

For our harvest snack mix I used:
- Cascadian Farms honey vanilla crunch cereal
- From the Ground Up cauliflower pretzels
- Pirates Booty
- Lily’s Milk Chocolate Baking Chips (no sugar added, sweetened with stevia)
- Candy Corn
Combine all your ingredients and store in an air tight container. I like using large mason jars for this kind of dry snack. If you’re heading outside to a farm you might want to omit the chocolate chips if it’s still warm in your area.
