Nashville is basically the hottest destination for bachelors, bachelorettes, and girls that just want to get away. A group of girlfriends mentioned in passing that it would be fun to take a long weekend away from the kids. You would have thought we NEVER get away (solo trips to Target do not count), because it wasn’t long before our husbands were locked down, babysitters and grandparents were secured and flights were booked to Nashville. While there are endless places to eat, drink, dance and shop, here is the path we traveled on this trip to Nashville.
Nashville Airbnb
This was my second time to Nashville with my first being a bachelorette party (DUH) for my sister-in-law. Both times we stayed in an Airbnb and both times our Uber/Lyft drivers cautioned us to be careful. It’s possible we picked the wrong neighborhoods and based our decision solely on the appearance of the home, but it would be a good idea to consult with anyone you may know that has traveled there or lives there currently. Nashville is an up and coming area. Many people are going in and buying homes, renovating them and listing them for sale and Airbnb. The house we stayed in was beautifully renovated with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, sleeping our 11 girls perfectly. A Lyft ride was approximately $20 for an XL from the house to downtown (Broadway) and $35 for an XL ride from the Nashville airport (BNA) to the house.
Where to Eat
Because we had a full kitchen, we knew we wanted to save some money and grab some groceries for breakfast and late night munching. We used Shipt when we arrived at the airport and had it delivered 2 hours later while we unpacked and freshened up.
Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar – We sampled Jason’s Mac & Cheese, Southern Meatloaf, Hillbilly Fish & Chips, Chicken & Waffle and a few others. No one had anything bad to say. The food, service and ambiance were great.
Saint Anejo – The best Mexican brunch! Sip on blood orange mimosa’s and a Bloody while you feast on the best Mexican brunch dishes. If you’re on vacation, skip the Skinny dishes (lesson learned) and head straight for the Omelet Tres or French Toast with Apple-Cinnamon infused syrup.
Party Fowl – Hot chicken is a must in Nashville. While we would have loved to have time to get over to Hattie B’s, the hot chicken tacos and nachos were delicious here!
Nashville Entertainment
I’m going to put it out there and admit that I’m not a country music fan. At all. But there’s something about a live band and a good crowd that gets me pumped. You can literally get dropped off anywhere on Broadway and walk into a bar with great, live music. The three bars we spent the most time in were The Stage, Nudie’s Honky Tonk and Jason Aldean’s. We stopped by Honky Tonk Central and it just wasn’t our favorite, but not bad! Tootsie’s is a local fav which was obvious by the crowd.
Nashville Pedal Tavern
It is my firm belief that you should experience the Nashville Pedal Tavern at least once. I did it twice. Since we had 11 girls, practically a full tour (15 max), we opted for a private Midtown Tour at 10am. Shoutout to Luke for giving us the best experience and making sure we always had a cold drink in our hand. He’s our man for life. You will get dropped off at a couple bar’s along the tour for discounted drinks. Pro Tip: Get the boozy CapriSun’s from Losers. The tour lasts about 2 hours and you will most likely need a nap afterwards to get you through the rest of the night. 😉

Nashville Shopping + Day Activities
Head to The Gulch and 12 South for a range of high-end boutique shopping and more affordable shops, chill bars, good eats (Bartaco) and Yazoo local brewery. We also pulled up a map of all the beautiful Nashville murals and hunted down a few!
