The other day my husband sent me a video of our youngest as a baby with the caption “this makes me want to have another”. Definitely just a joke, but it made me realize that we are really parents of two toddlers and there will never be any more babies (knock on wood) in our home. While it makes me a little sad, I also get really excited when we’re able to start giving away bulky baby items, like the high chair. Right before Isabella turned two we added a booster seat to the kitchen table, so now that Gabriel is approaching the two year mark (insert ugly cry) it was time to have him join us in a big boy seat. Mealtime with Nuby products has made feeding the toddlers a snap!
We’re currently using the Nuby Easy Go Booster Seat and love it! We added it to one of our existing kitchen chairs for him so now he can sit at the table with his big sister. It’s super simple to unhook and zip up to take when we eat out too. You know once you put a kid in a big kid seat he will not want to sit in a high chair anymore.
I recorded a little video of Gabriel joining Isabella at the table for lunch. Take a look 😉
The travel booster seat is really sturdy and allows him to safely buckle in at the table.
You may have noticed their place settings. They were enjoying mac and cheese in Nuby’s 100% recyclable Bamboo-Cornstarch bowls. The bowls come in 2 packs with adorable prints available at Target here. There’s no way I can get one something new without the other one noticing. 😉 BPA, dishwasher safe bowls are a must in our house.
The adorable cloud placements are a new addition from Olive and Papaya. Seriously fell in love instantly. Isabella may have squealed too LOL. They’re made of food grade silicone and perfect for mealtimes and other activities like sculpting and playing with our ZDough. You can easily wipe them down to clean or throw them in the dishwasher. (If you haven’t noticed, I’m all about the dishwasher!)
So back to the mac and cheese lunch. My kids have started to refuse any macaroni and cheese recipe that isn’t orange. ugh. They’re addicted to processed, powdered cheese. While I do have to admit it tastes delicious, preparing a healthier alternative makes me feel a whole lot better. So I found a sneaky way to make their delicious bowl of cheesy noodles orange while hiding vegetables in it too.

Give it a try! It’s always fun to trick your kids into eating veggies 😉
