Kraft-Heinz sponsored this post, but the opinions are my own.
When I thought about becoming a mom, I never fully understood how exhausting it would be. Working full time, doing household chores, and breaking up toddler fights is utterly draining. Here I am on any given weekend, trying to catch up on my never-ending to-do list and finding myself muttering the words “no” or “not right now”. I tend to shy away from messy activities or outdoor activities in the heat. Basically everything that seems fun to my kids. I can’t imagine how I must sound to them. So we scheduled a Yes Day!
What’s a Yes Day? Well in short, whatever my kids want to do, we do. If they wanted to break out the finger paints, we did it. If they wanted to go swimming, I would put my bathing suit on. (Thankfully they didn’t ask for that.) When it came down to it, our Yes Day consisted of a morning at the park, followed by lunch of their choice. I didn’t rush them out of the park or tell them we were just going home for PBJs. (It was really like a Yes Half-Day. Let’s not get out of hand. ? )
That morning my daughter picked out her clothes…a skirt of course. Typically I would make her change since skirts aren’t play clothes, but it was Yes Day. We arrived at the park and it was packed. There was a birthday party at the playground which really made me want to turn around and leave, but we powered through and the kids had a blast. Isabella made a friend and they went up and down the slide together non-stop. We played hopscotch, went on the swings, and stopped briefly for a snack. Here’s where Yes Day comes into play again. My kids very rarely drink juice because I’m not a fan of the sugar content in most juices. But Capri Sun recently revamped a line of drinks which have no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial colors or preservatives and less sugar! So while my kids thought they were winning….really it was a huge #MomWin

My kids loved the Capri Sun Fruit Veggie Blends Apple Sweet Potato Smash that I grabbed on the last shopping trip to Walmart. The Fruit and Veggie on the box grabbed my attention since I’m always looking for ways to get more veggies in my kids. Plus they contain ½ cup of fruit and veggie juice in every pouch.

At the end of the day when I was tucking my oldest into bed she started to tell me that her favorite part of the day was when I swung on the swings with her. I love making her happy and honestly it’s a really simple thing to do if I just set some time aside. It’s a constant reminder that they are what matter the most right now and everything else can wait.
So now I’m encouraging you to embrace the Yes Day and go have one of your own…obviously with a little bit of Capri Sun Fruit Veggie Blends ?. You’ll feel like a Rockstar mom with zero guilt. Find Capri Sun in stores or online at Walmart.com.

I had no idea these existed. What a great Mom find! I’ve got to grab these next time we are at Walmart!

The first time I heard of a Yes Day, I knew my kids would love it. Sadly, we haven't scheduled one yet, mostly because I keep forgetting, but this reminds me that I really need to just do it.
