November is the official start of the holiday season and while I love all the time spent with family and friends, it tends to get hectic as a working mom. To-do lists get even longer, holiday shopping and events take over weekends. Pure crazy! That’s why whenever we plan large family gatherings, my mom and I always head to Sam’s Club. There we can stock up on EVERYTHING we need from food ingredients to paper products, pumpkin pies, and even gifts at great prices!
Prepping for the Holiday Season with Sam’s Club
Sam’s Club has some of our favorite brands including Tyson®, Hillshire Farm®, Jimmy Dean® and Wright® Brand. These are the best meats for Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas brunch and beyond. One year my mom made Tyson® Cornish Hens and while it’s not a traditional turkey dinner, I understand now why she opted for these! Tyson® Cornish Hens are available in a 6-pack at Sam’s Club and REALLY easy to make without all the fuss of a large bird. They cook in under 1.5 (including crispiness) and taste so fresh and juicy. We paired our feast with prepared mashed potatoes, stuffing, roasted brussel sprouts with Wright® Brand Bacon, and Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage wrapped in bacon as an appetizer.

2. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until perfectly browned and crispy.
Keep your holiday table simple with a garland down the center. Chargers dress up every day dinnerware or even holiday themed paper plates. For a little added touch (that my daughter loved!), fold napkins into pockets to hold silverware. Scatter pinecones, pumpkins or other seasonal décor around the garland. Holidays don’t need to feel overwhelming. Save time by shopping at one-stop stores like Sam’s Club and be sure to download their mobile app. You can scan items as you load into your cart and check out on your mobile device, skipping long holiday lines!
Pro Tip: While you’re at, hire a cleaning service to come in the day before hosting holiday gatherings and take one less chore off your plate. You deserve to enjoy these moments stress-free!
