Saving Time During Your Busy Week

Sharing is caring!

This post was sponsored by Hello Fresh but as always I only provide you with my true opinion.

Dinner used to be my happy time. The only place I was able to express my creativity, experiment and create my own dishes. I firmly believe my skills in the kitchen were a deciding factor for my husband. ? Then I had my first child and experienced the witching hour. It honestly only got worse and my meal creations started transforming from pure delectable brilliance to whatever I could get on the table fast enough. I’ll be honest, I don’t cook very often now. I’ve lost my creativity and don’t feel like I have the time for planning, prep, and preparing. So when Hello Fresh reached out for us to try their service I jumped on it. Maybe this was exactly what I needed to get back in the kitchen all while saving time in the process.

Hello Fresh takes the guesswork out of meal planning and putting delicious, fresh dinners on the table. This service curates new meals each week, allowing you to choose 3, 4, or 5 different meals each week. They supply all the ingredients needed (with the exception of cooking oil, butter and salt & pepper) for each dish and packaged separately in small boxes that fit perfectly into your fridge ready to be pulled out and cooked each night. Our boxes contained fresh vegetables, potatoes, pasta, meats/seafood (non-frozen), and seasoning packs along with a recipe card for each dish. I loved not having to run out to the store for a forgotten ingredient. If you have small children you understand the value in this.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Select your plan. Classic includes meats and veggies for either 2 or 4 people. Veggie includes vegetarian meals for 2 or 4 people. Family plan is the classic plan that can feed 2 adults and 2 kids.
  2. Select a plan size. Choose from 3-5 meals (depending on the plan you choose).
  3. Enter your delivery date. Each box contains ingredients that will remain fresh for one week. Meats and seafood are packed on ice and will stay cold until you get home in the evening.
  4. Choose your meals. Every week new, fresh meals are available to choose from. They’re all amazing from what I’ve seen so far! Here’s what we received in our box.

Tuscan Ribollita

Oven-Roasted Chicken and Winter Veggies

Oven Roasted Chicken and Winter Vegetables

One-Pot Shrimp and Orzo

One Pot Shrimp and Orzo

They were all super flavorful and easy to prepare. The recipe card details step by step instructions with prep to plate times from 30-40 minutes. Half the time I was able to pop it in the oven or simmer on the stove and hang out with my kids for a bit before it was time to serve.

The best part about this service…you’re not locked into a subscription and if you choose not to have any meals that week it’s no big deal. Resume again the following week.

So you’re probably wondering how much it costs. I’ll admit this may not be for everyone, especially the bargain shopper/couponer, but considering what’s provided (literally all the ingredients for no-brainer meals delivered right to your doorstep) the value is unbeatable.

You can try Hello Fresh and save $35 on your first box with code CRAZYLIFE35.

Enjoy!
