SNACK IDEAS FOR YOUR PRESCHOOL LUNCHBOX

Sharing is caring!

Without fail, whenever I search Lunchbox Snacks for Preschooler I get an entire meal option. Maybe some preschoolers go during lunchtime or full day, but my little one is only required to take a morning snack for school and comes home for lunch. Her lunchbox is also stored in her cubby and not refrigerated so my options always seem limited. If you’re struggling like I was am, here are two weeks worth of some of our healthy snack ideas we pack in the preschool lunchbox.

Each night as part of our routine, my preschooler will pick out her clothes for the next day and her snacks for the lunchbox. She would get so exasperated with my choices that I decided it was best for all of us if she picked what SHE wanted, with guidance of course. Her preschool asks for healthy snack options only. She gets to pick two snacks each time. Sometimes she’ll eat it all and others she’ll only eat one thing.

My girl is somewhat picky and I don’t keep a lot of junk snacks in the house. We always try to incorporate one piece of fruit in her lunch box each day. It’s important for her to be able to open her own snacks too. By allowing her to pack it herself, she learns how it opens as well. Kids aren’t just assessed on learning letters, numbers, etc., but also how much assistance they require at school. Teaching her independence is such an important skill and life lesson.
