My little ones seem to be snacking all day long. One or the other is always asking for something, so I like to keep things interesting and come up with new fun, healthy snacks for them. There’s nothing worse than eating the same thing over and over again in my opinion. My little guy has been really into waffles lately. Instead of just eating them for breakfast we came up with these super easy snack time skewers using Eggo Buttermilk Waffles.

Skewers aren’t just delicious snacks, but also a fun activity for your toddlers to make. Threading is a common activity for preschool aged children to practice their fine motor skills. With this idea in mind, I had Isabella “thread” squares of Eggo Buttermilk Waffles, fresh bananas, and strawberries onto a lollipop stick. She also practiced her pattern skills, recognizing which piece of food came next in the sequence.

Check out this cute video of Isabella creating one of these yummy snack time skewers using Eggo Buttermilk Waffles.

What I love most about Eggo Buttermilk Waffles and Eggo Buttermilk Mini Pancakes is that they’re now made without any artificial colors or flavors. The possibilities are endless with Eggo! Think outside the breakfast box and start creating some ideas of your own! I would love to hear in the comments box below what you use Eggo Buttermilk Waffles for!

You can grab all the supplies you need for these yummy snack time skewers on your next trip to Target! Be sure to look for the new green label on box and use this 20% OFF Cartwheel deal to save now through 3/4!
