Installing flooring in your new home is a pretty large investment and one we didn’t take lightly. When we were in our pre-planning stages we explored a variety of different options. Ultimately we ended up choosing luxury vinyl plank floors for our home.
What is Luxury Vinyl Plank?
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP), also known as luxury vinyl tile (LVT, is one of the most durable options of hard-surface flooring that has grown in popularity over the last couple years.
One of the main benefits, and also a key reason we installed it, is it’s waterproof feature. Luxury vinyl consists of multiple layers, blocking moisture and withstanding scratches, spills, and heavy foot traffic.
Cleaning Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring
Cleaning luxury vinyl has never been easier.
While this type of flooring is durable, you still want to vacuum or dust the floors regularly to keep its integrity intact.
Bona is my secret to keeping our luxury vinyl plank clean! We’ve used this brand for years, so it was a no brainer to continue to use the Microfiber Dusting Pads and Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner on our new floors.
Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner was specifically designed to remove dust and tough dirt on hard surface floors such as stone, tile, laminate, vinyl, and LVT.
Using DIY cleaners such as water and vinegar can dull the finish on your flooring and should NOT be used!
Our luxury vinyl runs through all the rooms in our home with the exception of our bathrooms, so it sees a lot of traffic. I love that Bona products are safe and effective to use around our kids, allowing us to create even more special memories and live life in our home to the fullest!
