Fellow wives, football season is here. Sunday schedules now revolve around game time and after 7 years, I’ve finally come to terms with this. The secret to still enjoying the day as a family during football season? Food!! There’s nothing I love more than a yummy snack spread and hanging with my favorite people. Not totally opposed to an afternoon nap either.
For years I tried to get my husband to do fun fall activities on Sundays. If he did agree, he was buried in his phone checking scores or watching live streams and recaps. I gave up. Now when the weather starts getting cooler, we break out our favorite team shirts, cozy blankets and a table full of football snack foods to graze on during game time.
The best part about hosting a football party is the men huddle up together around the TV, while the kids play and wives gets to play catch up and chat in the kitchen. Our table spread consists of your typical party trays like veggies and dip, meats and cheeses, wings served with blue cheese or ranch and a pumpkin dessert thrown in the mix.
