LAKE BUENA VISTA RESORT & SPA – ORLANDO

Sharing is caring!

Since moving to Florida, we’ve made an effort to visit Disney World and Magic Kingdom at least once a year. Because we live just under two hours from the theme parks we’ll typically spend the day there and drive home at night. As you can imagine we’re completely wiped out by EOD so this visit we booked a weekend stay in the area! We were able to get in an extra day of fun too by staying at a nearby hotel, Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa.

A complimentary stay was provided in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

My personal preference is to visit Magic Kingdom during the week, so this trip we grabbed our passes for Friday and booked a weekend stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa. We spent the morning and early afternoon at the park and headed over to the hotel at 3pm for early check-in. This gave us enough time to get settled and relax for a bit before heading back to the park for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Upon arrival the outside of the hotel looked large and beautiful! The staff at the front desk was super friendly making check-in a breeze. We knew we were staying in a two-bedroom suite, but underestimated the actual size of the suite! Included in the 1,080 square feet was a master suite with King-sized bed, huge jetted tub, stall shower, and a large walk-in closet, living area, dining area to seat 6, small kitchen complete with oven, microwave, and dishwasher, a second bedroom with two extra beds and an extra bathroom! The suite also included a washer/dryer in the unit perfect for week long stays…and even for our small trip. As it turns out, my littlest one gets a tad carsick when eating too much breakfast on the drive over. The washer was great for cleaning up his clothes for reuse!

Our balcony overlooked the enormous Pirate Plunge Pool area! I know my kids would have LOVED hanging out in there. Florida occasionally hands us winter-like conditions and unfortunately for us it happened during our stay. (You can see that some out-of-towners still decided to enjoy the area Ha! But our recently converted Florida blood couldn’t quite handle pool time in below 60° weather.) Next time though, we will definitely be enjoying the pool area!

The landscaping was so well-kept and maintained. The hotel lobby area along with some of the property was so festive with holiday decor!

Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa is located about 15 minutes from Disney World with plenty of restaurants and shopping located nearby. Within walking distance was a convenience store, Irish pub, and outlet shopping. If you’re looking for an affordable, beautiful hotel located close to the theme parks then you should definitely book a stay in one of Lake Buena Vista’s suites! My kids felt so at-home that they actually put up a fuss leaving! I thought for sure they were ready to go home and play with all their toys again! Ha!

To book a stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa visit their website here. Be sure to check out their spa packages available as well! I didn’t have time to indulge this trip, but I’ll be back!

Thank you LBV Resort & Spa for such a wonderful stay and experience!
