Back to school season has arrived and while some parents might be relieved and ready to send their kids back off to school I’m over here having all kinds of mixed emotions. This is our daughter’s first year of school! She will be entering our state’s VPK program in about a week. She is definitely ready although some days she’s more excited than others and I’m full of first day jitters. Her school has released their suggested donation list for her classroom, so we went to our trusted source for bulk back to school supplies, Oriental Trading. I’ll share the list below in case you’re looking for ideas on what to donate to your child’s school.
One thing I’m actually excited about is finally being able to make up sweet little gift ideas for teachers! I have seen so many ideas on Pinterest that are both clever and cute. When our daughter was in the baby room at daycare several years back her teachers removed their shoes before walking on the carpet where the kids played. So as a teacher appreciation gift I made up several little cupcake boxes and rolled up fun pairs of socks with a little red pom-pom on top. They all loved it!
This year I ordered all the donation supplies from Oriental Trading and will pack them all up in the most adorable teacher canvas tote to give her teacher! I love Mom Life Must Haves for all my tees and tumblers, but she’s also really great about catering to the other important people in your life; grandmas, dads, aunts, and now our children’s educators!
Oriental Trading is a great one-stop shop for teachers looking to get their classrooms ready and stocking up on school supplies for the students all year. There’s everything from classroom decorations, age appropriate activities, and awards/incentives all with a teacher discount of up to 50% off.
It’s always a great idea to get off on the right foot with the one person that will spend a large amount of time with your child. Giving gifts of bribery 😉 for putting up with my kid is not above me. Find a cute mug or tumbler and toss in a Target or Starbucks gift card, gift them school supplies in an adorable tote, create a simple gift basket filled with supplies or check out any of these other great gift ideas below with some awesome free printable tags.
