Today we visited Sweetfields Farm in Brooksville. Although I wish it was cooler weather so I could wear boots and scarves, it was a beautiful day…maybe a lot little hot.
Gabriel was a little fussy and clingy in the morning, but nothing out of the ordinary when we’re trying to leave the house. It’s almost like he thinks we’re going to leave him. On the way there, he was still fussing though and then when we got in line to enter the farm it was full blown hysterics. Like there was nothing I could do for him. He wasn’t wet, hungry, thirsty, didn’t want up or down. He typically only takes a pacifier for bed, but I will carry one along just in case…obviously I forgot it. After realizing he wasn’t going to calm down, we left my mom and Isabella at the farm and drove to the nearest store to grab Motrin and a pacifier. He was good as new.
Being a mom of 2 toddlers can be especially trying on my nerves. Add public meltdowns and watching eyes and it didn’t matter if it was 90 degrees or 30 degrees outside…I was sweating profusely. I’ve read stories of bold bystanders commenting on screaming children and I’m so extremely grateful that has not happened to me. The last thing on earth I need during one of these moments is a stranger telling me what my child needs. So thank you to all the people on the farm today for not being the last straw to a public mom meltdown.
We ended up having a great time after all was said and done. I love making memories with my babies! Hope you enjoy all the mamarazzi photos!
