Creating a chili bar is a simple way to feed your guests on game day! Turkey chili is super easy to make, budget-friendly and healthy.
Chili Bars are quite possibly the easiest set up. Turkey chili is usually even better reheated, so why not make it a day ahead, saving time on actual game day. With just a few toppings you’ve got yourself a spread everyone will love.
Setting Up a Game Day Chili Bar
Chili tastes great on top of hot dogs, sweet potatoes and even chips. Top with raw onions, shredded cheese or salsa for even more of an impact.
Turkey Chili Recipe
1 lb ground turkey
2 cups of chicken broth
1 large can of chopped tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
1 tbsp garlic
1/2 tsp each salt & pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper (depending on heat desired)
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1. Heat a skillet and brown ground turkey. Add in onion until soft.
2. Transfer ground turkey and onion mixture to a slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients, stir and cook on Low for 8 hours or High for 4 hours.
Add chips to brown paper bags and guests can top with chili and cheese for a mess-free snack.
