Over six weeks ago I started FASTer Way to Fat Loss (FWTFL) which is a 6 week program (+1 week prep) that encompasses intermittent fasting (IF) and carb cycling. (You can find my 2 week update here.) Today I’m going over questions I received along with my results (measurements + before/afters).

WHAT IS FASTER WAY TO FAT LOSS?
FASTer Way to Fat Loss (or FWTFL) is a 6-week online fitness and nutritional program created by Amanda Tress. There’s no diet fads or unrealistic expectations, just a combination of intermittent fasting, carb cycling, whole food nutrition, and macro tracking. Through this program you learn how to fuel your body with proper nutrition while maintaining energy and burning fat.
During the 6-week program, you will be assigned to a coach to help walk you through all the areas and really help support you through the program in every aspect. My coach is Cathy DeZorzi.
Why FWTFL?
January 1, like thousands of other people, I joined a gym (bootcamp style workouts) and began to make steady changes in my life to lose weight and gain energy. I don’t feel or act my best when I carry extra weight around and it wasn’t fair to myself or my family. Five months in, I was loving the workouts, but wasn’t seeing real results from the extra activity. However, I hadn’t really made any changes to my diet and if you ask most weight loss professionals/nutritionists – changes are made in the kitchen. I wanted to learn what foods to eat, what to avoid and HOW MUCH I should be eating.
One of the things I loved the most about FWTFL was that it was a non-scale program. I had been down that road before of watching a scale like a hawk and becoming discouraged when the number didn’t budge. FWTFL is all about NSV, gaining energy and dropping sizes.
Is it worth it?
The program costs $199 for the first 6 week round. In that price you gain access to a personal coach, an online portal FILLED with resources, recipes and tons of knowledge, plus access to an online community. FWTFL utilizes the MyFitnessPal app which has a free and paid version (free version works just fine!). You won’t need to spend anything else on vitamins, supplements, food, etc. So to answer the question – Yes. The price and what you gain (and lose!) makes it completely worth it in my opinion.

The Results
Well here goes nothing…I’ve been incredibly nervous sharing these before and after photos. Because this is a non-scale program, it’s super important to take measurements and progress photos to track your changes.
In the first four weeks I went from a tight size 6 jeans to a comfortable size 4.
In FOUR weeks (I took measurements late) I lost a total of 3 inches and 2% body fat and gained an incredible amount of energy. (My trainer was taking my weight which I chose not to know and said I lost 3-4 lbs in 4 weeks.)
On the weekends before FWTFL I couldn’t wait for my kids to go to nap time/quiet time so that I could nap myself. Other than the week I had a terrible summer cold, I haven’t felt the need to nap at all! I’ve been sleeping really well at night also.
Because I love the program so much, I am continuing on with the VIP Membership available to those who complete a 6 week round of FWTFL.

Update: 8/25
It’s been almost two months since my last update. Since then I’ve joined the VIP membership program for additional accountability. You also receive access to weekly meal plans, tons of professional training/informational videos, access to the main group and live/recorded workout videos for all levels.
I’ve done my best most weeks (some not great because of life, etc.). What I love about this is that it’s super easy just to hop back in the next day.
Below are my 3rd (and most likely final) results. I still pretty good, more energy, and sluggish when I eat something not-so-good. Progress pics have definitely helped me see the changes so definitely take them! You’ll feel like nothing is happening and get discouraged until you look back at the photos.
